Cynthia Easton Architects has employed Connie Christensen, since 1981 when she started as a part-time drafter. Since 1986, she has been employed full-time, and in 1993, received her Architectural License. Connie attended California State University in Sacramento and Consumnes River College, prior to transferring and completing her architectural education at UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Design. Connie has also interned with architectural firms in Marysville and Berkeley.
As a Project Manager for Cynthia Easton Architects, Connie has worked on various types of public and private sector commercial and residential projects. She has produced construction documents and provided construction administration for both new & remodeled buildings at the Sacramento Pump Station 2 / Robinson Wastewater Treatment Plant. She was the Project Architect for the rehabilitation and seismic upgrade on the Historic SMUD Substation "A". Most recently she has provided services for the Santa Clara Valley Water District by producing Construction Documents for Cogeneration Plant Mechanical Equipment Building. This structure houses the HVAC heat recovery system which converts waste heat produced by the natural gas engine electric power generator to hot and chilled water which then is used to heat and cool an existing office building.
Connie has been an active participant at the local and state levels of the American Institute of Architects. She was a State Associate Director in 1992, and a Chapter Associate Director from 1990-1991. Connie is also active within the community where she has been a board member with the Natomas Community Association from 1986-96, including service as Secretary and Planning Committee Member.
Connie produces construction documents on AutoCAD 2000. Other architectural services include detailed project programming, construction administration, and feasibility studies.
