Ida graduated from the University of Southern California, with a Bachelor of Architecture, in 1987. Ida Clair has been a licensed Architect since 1991. She was a Project Architect for a local firm from February 1990 to June 1997, where she provided complete architectural services for numerous commercial clients and multi-family housing developers. Most projects included detailed project programming, design layouts, formal presentations, preparation of construction documents in AutoCAD, preparation of Project Manuals, interior finish selections, and landscape design. As a Project Manager for Cynthia Easton Architects, Ida has worked on various types of public and private sector commercial and residential projects. Most recently, she has been responsible for the design and construction documents for 100 new units of multi-family housing for the Consolidated Area Housing Authority, and the rehabilitation of 100 units of multi-family housing for the same client. Other significant projects include the design, construction documents, and construction administration for the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities Pump Stations for over five different sites. She has also provided design and construction documents for two structures for the City of Sacramento Fairbairn Water Treatment Plant Expansion. Ida has contributed her time to various community organizations. She has been an architectural speaker for the MESA program - a program that encourages future potential leaders in at-risk environments by exposing and educating students about various professions. She has been an active participant at the local level of the American Institute of Architects and was a Chapter Associate Director from 1988-1989. She is also a Member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Ida provides renderings and presentation drawings, and produces construction documents on AutoCAD 2000. Other architectural services include interior finish selections, project programming, feasibility studies, and community presentations.
